P is for Party
H is for Happy
B is for Birthday
When discussing Henry's party over the past few months, Gabe and I both wanted something simple, didn't really care too much for a typical theme, or going nuts on buying a big party package. Actually, we'll never do that, that's not the type of party we like to throw. And actually, I thought about ideas and themes, but couldn't settle on one. In fact, the theme BIRTHDAY was tossed out quite a few times. We'll save the themes for Henry to pick out when he's able. But, after reading this blog, and a little of this blog (which is actually where we borrowed the idea) we decided to compromise and purchase a fun, cute set of ABC flashcards to serve as inspiration for the party. Gabe designed the invitations to resemble the flashcards, and we decorated with bright colors and displayed the flash cards around the house. Pretty fun, super easy, almost all homemade, and it turned out pretty cute. Here's some photos:
Having fun in the baby pool with friends Anna and Evi.
Can you open presents in your diaper on your birthday? Absolutely you can!
Friends Eamon and Owen, enjoying dinner.
