Happy Holidays!
A quick recap of our Christmas in Florida:
Snuggling with Jenny the Elf one last time before putting her under the Christmas tree to go home with Santa Christmas Eve
Milk and Cookies, Carrots and Cheese
Sneaking a quick cookie before church Christmas Eve. Isn't he cute in his Christmas tie? Henry asked for this specifically, to be like daddy.

For Christmas Eve dinner with my extended family, I made black forest cake for the first time. It was delicious! And four layers, I might add! We took this picture quickly, before the four layers eventually fell apart as we cut into it :)

Santa came through with trains!
And firetrucks!
We set up the soccer goal Henry got from my brother, he enjoyed it, but spent most of the time tangled in it. It will be fun this spring and summer
Henry helped make this German chocolate cake for Baby Jesus. His construct for birthdays is very strong right now, so this cake really was fun to make with him. Henry requested trains and firetruck for the Baby Jesus. Hmmm, just what he asked Santa for too! We sang Happy Birthday and Henry blew out the candles.
We had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed celebrating the Christmas season this year with Henry. He really got into Jenny the Elf, which was great fun, but also bittersweet to have to send her back with Santa, especially when he kept asking about her. He also really started learning about the Nativity, or "tivy" as he calls it. His new Little People Nativity was one of his favorite toys. He can name the people, and has enjoyed lining them up, taking them on picnics, driving them on trains, and at every church we've been to this holiday season, he's wanted to see the Nativity. It was a very busy Christmas season but filled with much joy!
